Birthing Classes
We signed up for our birthing classes for November. I didn’t want to go in too early or wait to late, but I really wasn’t sure what time to start. I felt better once I got to the classes and the other two couples were due around the same time we were. It was a four week long class, but our instructor asked if everyone was ok to make it 3 weeks. We were all for it!
We started off by learning about the pregnancy gustation periods, then moved on to what us moms would experience, then labor and delivery, and finally newborn tips! I had been feeling calm about labor and delivery up to this point. Once we started talking about it I started to get nervous. I try not to think about it, because I don’t want to freak out. I keep telling myself that if my granny could deliver two children at home with no meds I can deliver one at a hospital with all the good drugs.
We also went to a breast feeding class and I am sure glad I did! The instructor gave us lots of tips and showed the best way to feed your baby and how to get them on a schedule! I pray that Aria will be a good breast feeder. I really want her to have the healthiest start possible. I know that some woman have trouble with the baby latching on and producing milk. I just hope it all works out for us!
